Arbatax Park Wild Nature Race

On the occasion of the Italian Cup OCR 2024, the Arbatax Park Resort in collaboration with ASD Run For Joy Sardegna organizes on 12 May the third edition of the Arbatax Park Wild Nature Race.

The race is affiliated with MSP Italia, a sports promotion body recognized by CONI, and is part of the Reginal OCR Championship. It is included in the Nature Race Series and Ocra Italia circuits. The race serves as a qualifier to both the OCR World Championship and the Italian Ocra Championship.

The Nature Race will take place entirely within our Resort, you will run among the vast fauna housed within our Nature Park, mouflons, wild boars, giara horses, fallow deer, donkeys, Sardinian sheep and more.

Along the route, the sea of Ogliastra, famous throughout the world for its turquoise colour, will stand out before your eyes, as well as the famous red rocks that are typical of this area, and the woodland that surrounds the territory in certain points.

Race Route
Length: about 8 km to be done in a single loop in the territory of the Resort and the village of Arbatax.
Terrain: asphalt 70%, cobblestone 30% | Departure at 8:45

Regulation

The entire course will be scattered with natural and artificial obstacles. In order to reiterate the full playful and sporting spirit of the event, the athletes must cross the obstacles in complete safety and mutual cooperation, so as not to incur any injuries.
There will be two competitions:

Easy Nature Race
Hard Nature Race

The Easy is dedicated to those who want to run the race without any particular obligations or cares and to have as much fun as possible with friends, or face an obstacle race for the first time.
This year the course will be divided into Hard and Easy. In the Easy category, there will be no obligation to tackle the obstacles, no penalties will be imposed, and no ranking will be drawn up among the participants.

Sardinian OCR MSP Italia Championship
Qualification for OCR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
